About
Dr. Jantunen works with neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy of child, adult, and geriatric outpatients suffering from a wide range of emotional and neurological disorders. Her background includes assessment and treatment of closed head injuries, social security disability determination, learning disability, pain and stress related disorders with a special emphasis on assessment and treatment of addiction, depression, and anxiety disorders. She is interested in assisting patients to better cope with a variety of mental health issues by using deep muscle relaxation training, self-hypnosis, behavioral modification, and existential/cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Jantunen uses several Behavioral/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and marital problems. Dr. Jantunen believes that successful health maintenance involves a holistic approach that includes careful attention to behavior, emotions, attitudes, diet, exercise, and relationships.
Aside from her professional life, she is a mother of three wonderful sons. She practices what she advocates by working out on a regular basis, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and participating in fundraising activities of various Palm Beach County organizations. She was born in Estonia and moved to the U.S. in 1990 and Florida in 2002. In addition to English and Estonian, she speaks Finnish and Russian.
